Keys to Success
Goals
Everyone's reason (your why) for becoming a Wash Pro is different, therefore success is based on personal goals.
Write down your ultimate Wash Pro goal, set milestones, then develop marketing goals that will help you reach each milestone.
Work on them as best as possible and trust the process! Once you complete the small goals, keep writing down goals till you reach your ultimate goal. This is not a difficult business to build and run, so success can come much easier then you might expect. Therefore, don't be afraid to make audacious goals.
One goal every Wash Pro should have is to build a routine customer base. A routine customer base allows you to strategically scale your business and successfully accomplish your goals.
"And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”
Habakkuk 2:2-3
Wash Techniques
Take some time to complete a few washes with a Was Pro mindset before starting. Test out your products and equipment to make sure everything works properly. Based on your setup, figure out what process works best for you.
In the beginning, focus on providing a quality cleaning over speed. Over time, your speed will naturally pickup. However, try to think of the quickest wash flow that works best for your setup.
Below is the recommended full service wash flow:
1) Clean interior dashboard/console and seats
2) Vacuum floor and floor mats (make sure to get under the mats)
3) Clean tires/rims
4) Pre-wash rinse entire vehicle
5) Apply soap and clean vehicle
6) Rinse off soap and dry vehicle
7) Clean windows and mirrors
8) Tire shine
Your first service with a customer is going to either turn them into a routine customer or a one and done. Just like first impressions, you only get once chance to provide a great first wash experience. Therefore, focus on doing a great job and overdelivering.
Depending on how dirty the vehicle is, the first service might take longer than usual. A really dirty vehicle is the best opportunity to make a great first impression. If it's super dirty, that means it hasn't been washed in a long time. When you take the extra time to provide a quality cleaning, the customer will be thrilled to have such a clean car and should be more than willing to setup routine service.
Once a vehicle receives a quality cleaning, routine cleanings will go much quicker. Therefore, taking the extra time is worth the investment.
Customer Service
Every entrepreneur should know that customer service is one of the most important aspects of a business and often a major key to success.
Great customer service is just as important as quality cleaning. Therefore, always be polite, smile and have a positive attitude.
This business doesn't require you to be super chatty or overly personable. Time is money, so don't spend too much time talking. Build rapport over time and follow the flow of the customer. Try to tailor your communication to how much the customer engages you.
If you have to address a customer complaint, remain calm, listen completely (try not to interrupt) and respond with a positive attitude.

Marketing and Advertising
Yso Dirty Incoming Customer Marketing
Yso Dirty is currently positioned to operate as a national brand throughout the United States. We're launching marketing campaigns according to our expansion plan and will increase focus areas as the business grows. Zip codes with at least 20 active Wash Pros will receive priority marketing.

The more Wash Pros involved, the more exposure we all get. Customer demand is virtually limitless, ensuring there will always be more opportunities than Wash Pros—meaning minimal competition risk. Together we succeed!
Marketing Principles
■ The Rule of 3
People trust businesses they see in 3 different ways.
Example: Flyer + Social Media Post + Referral (or observe someone using Yso Dirty) = NEW CUSTOMER
■ The Rule of 7
Certain customers need to see your business 5-7 times before they take action.
Example: 5-7 door tags, flyers or ads
■ Mere Exposure Effect
The more people see you, the more familiar and trustworthy you feel.
■ Consistency + Variety = More Jobs
■ Stay visible. Stay consistent. The more ways people see you, the faster they’ll book.
Once you get traction, the business becomes a numbers game (x amount of marketing = x amount of customers). Numbers get better as exposure grows.
Once you reach your goals, you can reduce or eliminate your marketing as long as you maintain your routine customer base.
Marketing Playbook
1. Weekly Marketing Checklist
● Social Media (1 daily post or at least 2–3 posts per week): Post before & after photos, short wash clips, use local hashtags.
● Email (1–2x per month): Seasonal offers, testimonials, before/after results.
2. Monthly Business-Building Actions
● Weekly Flyers / Door Hanger Drops: 1–2 neighborhoods (50–100 flyers). Don't jump around, you can drop and address after 7 attempts.
● Door Knocking: Try addresses that you already sent flyers to at least 3 times.
● Local Partnerships: Drop flyers/business cards at real estate offices, auto repair shops, gyms etc.
Ask places like a barber shop/saloon if you can offer their customers a quick 30 min waterless wash in the parking lot while they wait. Many will be amazed at how well the waterless wash works. Wearing Yso Dirty branded apparel will help with brand exposure and acquiring other customer if you're located in busy shopping area.
● Business Outreach: 10 emails or 5 calls to local businesses (fleets, salons, restaurants).
3. Keys to Effective Marketing
● Consistency Wins: Stick to your posting schedule.
● Use QR Codes Everywhere: Flyers, business cards, decals, social posts.
● Show Proof: Before-and-after photos are your great sales tool.
● Highlight Convenience, Quality and Eco-friendly service: Customers value time savings (average is an hour) and environmental benefits.
4. Tracking & Measuring
● Use Tracking Links/Promo Codes: Example CLEAN10 for flyers, SPRING20 for social media.
● Review Monthly: Double down on channels bringing in most jobs.
● Ask Customers: Always ask 'How did you hear about me?' and record it.
5. Growth Tips
● Referrals = Free Marketing: Ask for referrals or offer discounts for referrals.
● Build Repeat Customers: After the first wash ask if they want to setup routine service. If they agree, ask if you can use their name in marketing campaigns to just the neighbors in their neighbor.
You can offer block discounts for new customers if they book on the same day you'll be servicing your routine customer. Being at two houses in one day on the same street is great exposure. Try to schedule the service during peak hours that neighbors might be out. Afternoon/evenings or weekends would be best.
● Go Pro: Use Yso Dirty’s marketing templates and apparel for polished branding.
Bottom Line: Do a little marketing every week, track what works, and stay consistent. The
more visible you are in your community, the more jobs you’ll book.
